GOLD COAST ESTUARY FISHING REPORT by Clinto

Things are looking up, the weather and water colour looking good, and the fish are firing up! There are tailor moving up the coast, lots of white bait around, flathead in the river and broadwater, and hopefully arrow squid increasing in numbers and size soon. There is heaps of winter whiting in the broadwater, and sand whiting increasing in numbers again in Nerang river.
This past week there has been lots of fish in the broadwater with catches of flathead, flounder, bream, tarwhine, winter whiting, small jew, a few sand whiting, and squire. Best lures have been Samaki Bladelicious in Oyster, whitebait, and brown sugar colours, and S Tackle plastics including 2.5 paddle tail in Ambassador colour, and the fish tail in whitebait colour.
It all looks very promising for the weeks ahead, my charters are busy enough, next week there are only two days still available.
