GOLD COAST ESTUARY FISHING REPORT by Clinto
The lead up to full moon was absolutely on fire for quality sized summer whiting. They were chewing hard on the broadwater banks on yabbies, and in Nerang river on beach worms during run in tides.
There were also good numbers of flathead on the flats, as well as grunter, tarwhine, bream, around Isle of Capri.
This week we have neap tides, mornings are ideal for pumping yabbies then fishing the broadwater flats edges and channels, and the seaway for all sorts of fish using vibes and plastics slow worked. It looks like no big rain on the horizon, although the 100mm the region received a few mornings ago wasn’t forecast by the bureau so they can’t be trusted. I only have Friday still available this week for a charter.
