GOLD COAST ESTUARY FISHING REPORT by Clint

Busy as always so a quick report this week. A mix of weather in the past week, and a mix of fishing with better bite periods during the bigger tides, and some slower times during the smaller neaps.
As is normal this time of year I’ve been chasing big whiting a lot, as well as grunter. Nerang river is fishing ok, we just need bigger rain to fully fire it up.
This coming week we have the new moon on Thursday 20 November, with better size run out tides during the mornings. Good options include flathead in the broadwater, whiting in the river and creeks, and keep an eye out for trevally busting up on bait schools.
Looking ahead the charters are very busy and we haven’t even entered peak season yet. I only have six dates still available for the rest of this year, then January always gets fully booked every year.
