Weekly fishing report:
Good to see the weather improving and temperatures cooling, this time of year is enjoyable.
The flatties are starting to make a presence now that the water is cooling down to 22 degrees. There are also still some small GT’s taking surface lures on the edge of the channels. These fish are great fun on light gear.
At the Gold Coast Broadwater we have had some good sessions catching pan size flathead 40-50cm on blades and gulps. One four hour charter resulted in 40 fish caught and released. Best areas have been the drop offs on the edges of sandbanks between Carters bank and Crab island.
This weekend some wind is picking up, the Monday public holiday looks the pick of the days, we still have availability for that day, message us for a last minute offer.
Small tides this weekend so stay close to the river mouths and deeper water, or work the yabby banks for whiting.
