TWEED RIVER & GOLD COAST

by Smithy & Clinto

After these floods the water up the rivers will still be very muddy for a few weeks.

We are resuming charters from Monday onwards with both boats working the mouth of Nerang river and Gold Coast broadwater.

The water is still filthy and fresh on the run out tides but there is some clean water pushing into the seaway on the top of the tides and the Eastern side of the broadwater.

We will focus on fishing the favourable run in tides this coming week, by using vibes and blades in the deeper water, and plastics, hardbodies, and yabbies in the shallows.

See below for more info.

After this major flood event the fishing will be awesome for many fish species at Tweed river and Gold Coast rivers over autumn and winter.

Like many businesses in tourism we have been heavily affected by downturns in travel during the past few years caused by covid restrictions.

On top of that the weather has been shocking all summer long, causing many of our charters to be cancelled.

The weather always comes good again, and we look forward to that soon. We are due for a lovely Autumn and Winter season.

If you like to help us get through these extremely tough times, please consider booking ahead or buying charter vouchers, or shopping at our online store.

A charter voucher would be a lovely gift to someone who has been through tough times too.

If you’d like to use a charter as a business tax deduction we can write out receipts for you.
