GOLD COAST ESTUARY FISHING REPORT by Clint

9 November 2025

Another big week of fishing charters, no rest for the wicked.

Again there were nice whiting on the chew with some monster models amongst the daily catches.

We caught heaps of fish this week, most days were good with 20 to 100 fish per day, apart from on the full moon which is often ordinary.

Water temperature is sitting around 26 degrees in Nerang river, and 22 to 24 in the broadwater. We have had some massive tides and they really stir up the water. Not easy to fish but I find these times ideal for up the river where there were plenty of whiting, grunter, bream, flathead, trevally, tailor, and a few flathead this week.

Looking ahead the coming week those tide sizes drop off and we have morning lows which make it perfect for wading the amazing broadwater shallow flats for whiting, flathead, tarwhine, and bream
